In the process of bringing Jolie West Co. to life, it was important to me to create products that bring joy & give back. I was also extremely mindful of the impact my business would have footprint wise & the choices I had control over to make a difference.

ALL Jolie West products are cruelty-free, sustainably sourced and non-toxic (plus pthalate and paraben-free). I can't stress enough HOW essential it was for me to use only cruelty-free materials (which means I have vetted every company we purchase from to ensure they're values align with our own).

So, why candles?

To be honest, candle making made it's way into my life on a whim! I quickly realized how being a creator let me work in that "flow" state and it was so different from anything I'd done before. There's a healthy dose of experimentation and science involved, plus the possibilities are endless. I was hooked.

I'm someone who has always been highly sensitive to fragrances. I never wear perfume, lotions are always unscented, and you guessed it - I never used to burn candles.

That is how the journey began! I wanted to be able to enjoy the ambiance and calmness that setting the mood (or the table) with candles brings, without the overpowering scents or harsh chemicals that many candles have. Yes there are unscented candles - but what about the in-between?

I've spent the last year developing a perfectly curated line of fragrances and products with scent-sensitive folks in mind. I wanted to "have my cake and eat it too", and I think you should as well! Jolie West products were designed to allow you to have a beautifully scented room without feeling overwhelmed or stressing about what's burning in your home.
